About Kansas Aviation

Our Mission:

To drive economic development and enhance critical services in Kansas through infrastructure improvement; and to be regarded as the state aviation expert; innovator and resource for the Kansas aviation community.

Who We Serve:

KDOT Aviation serves the Kansas aviation community, including airports, aviation groups, the FAA, the pilot community, and aviation education and research facilities.

Robert W. (Bob) Brock

Robert W. (Bob) Brock
Director of Aviation, Director of UAS

Bob Brock joined the Kansas Department of Transportation as the first State Director for Unmanned Aircraft Systems after a 22-year career in the Air Force. An instrument-rated commercial fixed-wing and helicopter instructor pilot, Bob started working with UAS in 2003, and later commanded the largest UAS Squadron in the Air Force. He is a native of Pittsburg, KS and alumnus of Pittsburg State and Texas Christian Universities. He likes cars, Thai food, and great coffee.



Lindsey R. Dreiling
Deputy Director of Aviation and UAS

Lindsey Dreiling has spent over 15 years immersed in aviation. As Deputy Director, Lindsey drives strategies to grow and support aviation and UAS industries in Kansas. Lindsey sets the pace for aviation engagement as she serves as the President of the Kansas Commission on Aerospace Education (KCAE) and an FAA Safety Team (FAASTeam) Representative. She earned Bachelors' degrees in Professional Piloting and Aviation Technology Management; as well as, a Master's in Counseling and Student Development from Kansas State University. She holds a commercial fixed-wing pilot certificate with a certified flight instructor instrument (CFII) and a multi-engine instructor (MEI) ratings.

Greg Chenoweth

Greg Chenoweth
Federal Aviation Programs Planner

Greg Chenoweth returned to his Kansas roots from Arizona when joining KDOT in January 2016, after serving as Airport Manager at Chandler Municipal Airport for about 20 years. His earlier positions as manager were in Hutchinson and Cape Girardeau, MO. He now serves as KDOT’s airport management advisor; serves as a liaison with various FAA contacts; oversees FAA grants used by the Aviation Division in conducting system studies on behalf of Kansas' public-use airports for pavement maintenance, system-wide analysis, capital improvements and economic impact.

Megan MacPherson

Logan Falletti
State Aviation Grant Executive

Logan Falletti began her state service with KDOT in early 2019. She heads the Kansas Airport Improvement Program (KAIP), the $5 million grant fund that upgrades and preserves airports throughout the state. She also manages the state’s 5010 Airport Safety Inspection program. Logan encourages the growth of a holistic airport system with an emphasis on careful planning, world-class technology, and intentional spending to cement Kansas’ place as the Air Capital of the World. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations from Kansas State University, with a personal interest in rural sociology. She is originally from Frontenac, KS.

Kelly Humphreys

Kelly Humphreys
Aviation Operations Manager

Kelly Humphreys, a Kansas native, is an alumnus of Washburn University with a BA in Chemistry, a BA in Medical Administration, and a BS in Biology. She has a Master’s Degree in Science Education from the University of Kansas and a Medical Degree from the University of Kansas Medical Center. She also did her PHD research in reproductive neuroendocrinology at KUMC and founded Wonderscope, the Children’s Science Museum in Shawnee, KS. Kelly started her private pilot’s training when she was 18 years old after winning the National Link Foundation Flying Scholarship from the Air Force Arnold Air Society.

Halee Lindstrom
Special Assistant

Halee Lindstrom is a first-generation Kansan. Her community and event organization experience can be demonstrated in the execution and success of the Kansas Export Forum, an event that united the Kansas Departments of Agriculture, Commerce and Transportation to identify needs gaps for small business exporters in the global supply chain. Halee is interested in collaborative growth for Kansas. “In Kansas we build teams. Aviation is one of the greatest drivers of our economy. Aerospace meets Kansas’ largest industries where connectivity, infrastructure and innovation go hand in hand.”



Trever Linn, Manager, Outreach & Marketing

Trever Linn
Chief of UAS

Trever Linn currently serves as the Chief of UAS and Program Manager for the FAA UAS IPP for KDOT Division of Aviation where he is responsible for the coordination and execution of an industry, state, and federal effort to advance national UAS integration. Trever is a (ASEL/AMEL) Commercial Pilot, Certified Flight Instructor - Instrument (CFII), and active Representative with the Wichita (FAASTeam) with over 5 years of industry experience. Trever holds Bachelors' in Molecular and Cellular Developmental Biology (MCDB) from the University of Colorado and Aeronautical Technology from Kansas State University and serves on the board of the Kansas Commission on Aerospace Education.

Megan MacPherson
Corporate Communications Manager

Megan MacPherson is a native Kansan and a graduate of Wichita State University with a BA in Marketing Communication. She has worked for various agencies throughout her 13 years of employment with the State of Kansas with proven success in marketing, communications, project coordination, and business relations. She is a senior-level entrepreneurial marketing and business professional and currently serves as the Corporate Communications Manager overseeing stakeholder communication, event coordination, and brand consistency for the Division of Aviation.
